How to Paint On Fine Stationery Paper

A fine stationery paper is generally used for social letters, cards or invitations. You can personalize a stationery paper either by painting or engraving. Read on to know about how to create handmade stationery with the help of acrylic paints.

First take a drawing paper. Cut the drawing paper into a size that is equal to your fine stationery paper. For example, if you take a standard letter paper (normally the size of a typical letter paper is 5 15/16″ x 9″), cut your drawing paper into the same size as the letter paper.

Firstly, draw an image on the drawing paper (cut out) with a pencil. Think about what colors you will be using and whether you want to have names as letterhead or not. Leave some space for writing. A social letterhead mainly contains the images and the names on the top or on all sides of the edge of the paper. To personalize your stationery, you can show your creativity on the borders or on the top.

Now, take the drawing paper in which you have drawn the image and trace that image onto the fine stationery paper with the help of a carbon paper. After that paint, your image using acrylic paints. Avoid using excess water, as it may possibly damage the paper. Allow the stationery paper to dry.

Now, repeat the process of painting for the remaining stationery papers. Or if you truly have the determination to paint each and every stationery paper in a complete different way, you can go for it. After painting the stationery papers, rub out the unnecessary pencil marks if any. There will be around twenty five stationery papers in a single box. After painting all of them, let them dry completely prior to placing them again into the box.

The Next Opportunity – Predicting The Future

Last fall I attended the brand new York Media Information Exchange Group (NY:MIEG), monthly meeting hosted by Bill Sobel. If the 7:30 AM meet and greet doesn’t wake you up, nothing will. Jack Myers editor and publisher of Jack Myers Media Business Reports, (formerly from HBO) was our guest speaker and at the end of his eye opening presentation, among my colleagues asked the inevitable question that all serious business owners ask: “Brad, where are you able to predict the next big idea can come from?” I pretended to be the voice of authority. Utilizing a 70′s style announcer voice (inside a mockery of myself) I delivered the content… “You can’t.” I have not seen a person look so disappointed.

My pal was trying to get in ahead of the curve and purchase something before it became common knowledge on Wall Street. I suppose he believed that a former dot com boomer like myself was able to predict the following big business explosion. Sorry, it had been a 1 time deal and that i was lucky to possess been in the middle of everything. I couldn’t have predicted the Dot Com phenomenon anymore than I can predict what dress socks I’ll be wearing tomorrow. However i can predict this: I had been an entrepreneur prior to the dot com boom and that i continue being so. SO to my point…

The grand illusion is that marketers, business people and trend setters believe they can predict the future into what they need so that it is. Those predictions are used to mold investors minds. 10 years ago when my company tried it’s first $4 million in sales and handle it’s IPO, I figured I knew what the Internet was all about. Hundreds of web-developers couldn’t be sustained for very long within an imploding market and out of the box software made custom development companies obsolete. But, predicting blogs, free sites, cookie cutter templates for a whole website, Bluetooth, ipods, Unix based Macs and also the Harry Potter phenomenon, were beyond my imagination. BUT, I did know the Web in those days would not be the net nowadays. If Nicholas Negroponte educated me in something in the book Being Digital, it had been that technology would always migrate to the coolest most effective delivery system. That’s a big lesson learned that I must affect the here and now. And who decides the coolest delivery system? The customer.

If you think I’m out there, just look at VHS vs. Beta. For some reason the customer went crazy within the bulky VHS tapes of poorer quality, while the much better broadcast beta was never adopted. Was it the truth that Beta was more costly than VHS? Probably. Within the 70′s price was very important, but today’s consumer doesn’t make choices based on price. It’s the emotional connection that is primary.

It always reminds me of one thing: What is hot today might not even appear in ten years.

Just pick-up a duplicate of your time Magazine from years gone by and look for the Mega Trends issue they are doing every once in awhile. It will make you laugh nearly as hard as watching Jack Tripper wear knit bell-bottoms having a pink sweater. You can’t predict what individuals will love and what they will discard.

We are faster-paced today, cash rich and always on the run. We don’t have enough time to visit three stores to get the best price and that we sure as hell don’t have time for you to write a letter. Christmas emails are actually acceptable. Who saw that one coming? Try writing an article card and see in case your hand doesn’t cramp up. Convenience rules.

Jack Myers pointed out that morning at the NY:MIEG breakfast – ‘There are children being born right now who will not know of a global without both virtual and real worlds being an intertwined part of their day-to-day lives.” We can’t even fathom what the next generation can create. Going to work will have a really different meaning in the future. Then when marketers attempt to deliver an awesome brand, they are able to only predict a particular level of success. ber success would require getting inside the group and see what all the excitement is all about after which build the company from the inside out. Viral Marketing tries to do that, but when i always say, “Good luck with that.” Viral Marketing only works if you’re able to add your story towards the group’s socially acceptable rumor mill.

Second Every day life is in its infancy and when those children become teenagers, they will have logged a large number of hours in certain virtual world that has replaced it. Realm of War Craft and the latest Wii console opened my eyes. Hopefully at that time America can catch up with all of those other world when fiber optics replaces copper wires. Yes, I am being sarcastic. Imagine that! We come up with Internet and the Dot Com Boom yet Europe and Japan have surpassed us using their fiber optic network. For $40 a month every household in Tokyo might have high-speed connectivity. Not in America. Everybody wants a bit of the action.

It’s driving me crazy. But I am not surprised. I’d cable during my hometown in Pennsylvania. It had been 1984 after i gone to live in New York City…and that we couldn’t get cable in Manhattan! You heard right, folks, in Manhattan you couldn’t get cable. Why? Simply because they were fighting over who’d obtain the agreement for which area. Bureaucrats were involved, big money was up for grabs, and we the consumer suffered. One city block in Manhattan might have yielded a cable company, with basic installation, almost a million bucks a year. This is where you are able to predict the future: stick to the money involved!

I think the Cable and Telco CEOs should do a cage match on Pay-Per-View having a winner takes all for that fiber optic contract. Maybe then I’ll get my fiber optic network. To help you never predict where progress will come from, but you can predict greed and incentive.

Let’s suppose you had been able to invest in Star Trek in 1966. How rich do you consider you’d be should you could have predicted the 40-year ride that Gene Rodenberry’s vision would take? Toys, games, videos, cartoons and movies, figures and book sales.

Now imagine what today’s toddlers will be envisioning for his or her future. Downloadable TV to a computer chip in their brains? Movies that are viewed with virtual reality goggles – placing you in the heart of the experience? Sitting in a classroom with a wide open dialog together with your colleagues while sitting at home inside a bathrobe? Traveling to operate in Tokyo, or Sri Lanka without leaving your living room console.

If anyone can truly predict the near future, rely on globalization flattening the planet and destroying boarders. Virtual worlds and e-commerce has already been becoming the norm. Consider it’s natural progression and voila, the future is happening beneath your nose. Kids today are looking to game titles for their learning. It’s happening around the globe. Just consider the new global economy and technology to learn effectively. That’s best places to invest.

If you still believe you can predict the future, I have two words for you personally – Steve Guttenberg. Everyone thought his career was in the bag back in the 80s. Where’s he today? He’s put their hands up now on Dancing with the Stars.

You just can’t predict the following big thing, however, you can produce a calculated guess. To quote Yogi Berra “The future isn’t what it used to be.” Just take a look at how much Dark Cable is encircling India and you will understand a good investment opportunity like not one other. However, I do not own a crystal ball.
